Walnut Gorgonzola Bites

  • 36 perfect Walnut halves
  • 1/3 of a pound of Gorgonzola Cheese, softened
  • 3 Tbs of unsalted butter, softened
  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Toast the walnuts on a cookie sheet until fragrant about 5-10 minutes. Cool Completely. Combine and whisk the cheese and butter. Place a dab of cheese on one walnut half and top with another walnut half to create a sandwhich. Chill briefly to firm up the cheese. Serve cool, but not cold.

This one is a favorite and it could not be any easier~ Make them up early and they will be fine~ Pecans will work too in this recipe and sometimes I will use a pub cheese with jalapenos in it for the "Hot Heads"~~ Janie
