TEA BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. fat
  • 2/3 cup milk
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cut in the fat until very fine.
  3. Pour in milk stirring very quickly with a fork until mixed.
  4. Turn out on a lightly floured board: knead lightly, roll to 3/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut with floured biscuit cutter or glass.
  6. Place in a greased or floured pan and bake in a 400 to 425 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
These are tasty and flaky. They are great hot out of the oven and slathered with butter. I almost always make these when I make chicken soup. My three grown kids request them all the time.
