Sweet & Sour Spareribs
  • 10 pounds spareribs
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup Less Sodium Shoyu
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch.
  1. Brown spareribs with pepper to taste. Mix remaining ingredients except corn starch in a large pot. Add browned spareribs and bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat for approximately 45 minutes or until meat is soft. Cool slightly and skim off excess fat. Soften cornstarch in 1/2 cup water and add to liquid towards the end of the simmering process to slightly thicken sauce.
Sweet and Sour Spareribs can be eaten as part of your dinner or as an appetizer.
