Sweedish Ginger Cookies

  • Cooking Time: 8 - 10
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar.
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoons water
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • colored sugar crystals
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add orange peel, corn syrup and water; mix.
  3. Sift togetter flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Stir into creamed mixture chill.
  4. (I usally chill it overnight)
  5. Roll out and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter, sprinkle with sugar crystals and bake at 375 for 8 to 10 min
