Simone's "I hate Coleslaw" Coleslaw
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable (or olive) oil
  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (3 ounce) package chicken flavored ramen noodles, crushed, seasoning packet reserved
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 5 green onions, chopped
  • Tip: if you're going to be sharing this with a group of people, you'll want to double dressing (made of oil, vinegar, and sugar) and use a whole head of cabbage instead of just a half.

  2. In a bowl whisk together, oil, sugar, vinegar, and ramen seasoning pack. set aside
  3. In a large bowl combine cabbage, green onions, and crushed ramon noodles(dry). Add sesame seeds and almonds, mix through. Just before serving, mix the dressing through! Enjoy! xoxo
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I hate coleslaw. I love cabbage, but I hate coleslaw. I don't like that it's swimming in what tastes like watered down ranch dressing. So I (with the help of a friend) came up with my own "kinda like coleslaw" coleslaw.
