Rita’s Beef Strogonoff
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: Serves 6
  • 1-1/2 lbs round steak, cut in pieces
  • 2 C stock
  • Salt
  • 1 lb mushrooms
  • Pepper
  • large onion (chopped)
  • 1 T flour
  • 1/2 C sour cream
  • 2 T butter
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown flour in butter.
  2. Work to a smooth paste.
  3. Stir in stock gradually.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add mushrooms.
  6. Sear meat in butter with chopped onion.
  7. When brown, put pieces of meat in sauce.
  8. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. Add sour cream.
  10. Heat and serve.
