RECIPE BACKSTORY
I used to go to a particular restaurant before work in the morning and have a coffee and one of these buns. The proprietor would slice a bun in half and butter it and then stick it on his griddle and grill it until it was very lightly browned. The bun was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches across.
