Poppy Seed Bread
INGREDIENTS
  • Bread:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix ingredients and then beat 2 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees in a greased and floured pan for 1 hour or until all done. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
  2. Mix the ingredients for the glaze. Brush loaf on all sides with the glaze.
  3. Note: You can double the glaze if you prefer.
