Parmesan Basil Rolls

  • 1 loaf frozen white-bread dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • garlic powder
  1. Thaw bread dough as label directs.
  2. Roll out to a rectangle, 15 x 8 inches on a lightly floured board.
  3. Brush melted butter over dough. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
  4. Mix Parmesan cheese, parsley, and basil in a cup; spread over dough to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  5. Starting at a long side, roll up tightly, jelly roll style.
  6. Cut into 1-inch slices; place flat-side down, in well-greased muffin pan cups; cover. Let rise in a warm place, away from draft, 45 minutes, or until doubled.
  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  8. Bake rolls 20 minutes, or until golden.
  9. Remove from muffin cups to a wire rack.
  10. Serve warm or cold.
