Orange chicken
  • 1 broiler-fryer, cut up
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 orange, sliced crosswise
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 cup orange juice
  1. In a large skillet brown chicken in margarine. Arrange chicken with orange slices in a 12x8x2 inch baking dish.
  2. In the same skillet, blend in flour, salt and cinnamon. Gradually stir in orange juice and cook and stir over medium high heat until juice thickens and boils. Pour over chicken and orange slices.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
