Michelle Losey's Fried Apples (or Pears, Cherries or mix)
INGREDIENTS
  • Cortland apples
  • Granny Smith apples
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Butter melted
  • White sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Make in batches if you have a large family
  2. For each batch:
  3. Cut apples in bite size chunks
  4. Put in large skillet
  5. Pour about 1 TBS of melted butter over apples
  6. Add about 1/4- 1/3 cup water to pan
  7. Lightly salt
  8. Lightly sprinkle sugar over apples
  9. Let water boil out and then let them cook in butter 'till soft
  10. Stir and flip over to get all sides done
  11. Add more butter if needed
