Mashed Potato Dogs

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 frankfurters or weiners
  • 2/3 cup Lime Marinade
  • cheese slices
  • spinach leaves
  1. Marinate the hot dogs for 30 minutes, in the refrigerator, and heat the oven
  2. to 355 f.
  3. Bake the hot dogs for 28 minutes; while they are sitting on the pan,
  4. open the buns and place in them the cheese, some mashed potatoes
  5. and some spinach leaves. .
  6. Place hot dog on top of the potatoes in the buns, and fold closed. *
  7. tip: They're good right of of the refig, too!
  8. Yes, they could be made with a tofu version of the dogs.

I had a very good Bacon Western Hot Dog at the Dog House, Wednsday. Then in thinking about how much I like mashed potatoes and needed to do soemthing, with some in the refrigerator, I thought, why not put them in a hotdog bun?. Well, i couldn't find a recipe for them on line, so I created one. They're not at all rich nor disgusting.
