MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE II

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. baking cocoa
  • 2 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. strong brewed coffee
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 T. confectioner's sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
  2. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes (batter will be thin).
  3. Pour into a greased and flour 10" fluted tube pan.
  4. Bake at 350ยบ for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
