Lisa's Angel Biscuits

  • 2 tbsps margarine, melted & divided
  • 2 cups baking mix
  • 2/3 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine the baking mix, buttermilk, sugar, salt, and half of the melted margarine in a KitchenAide mixer bowl.
  2. Mix with dough hook until well-blended in KichenAide Stand mixer until dough becomes elastic.
  3. Roll dough on floured board to about 3/4-inch thick and punch out biscuits using a 3-inch cutter.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden on top and have doubled in height.
  5. Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush melted butter.
  6. Serve warm. Makes 8 biscuits.
