Key Lime Pie

INGREDIENTS
- 1 baked pie crust or graham cracker crust
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14-oz)
- 3 eggs, separated.
- 3 egg whites
- 6 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup key lime juice
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 425
- Prepare the crust
- In a bowl mix the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, and key lime juice.
- May add a few drops of green food coloring
- Pour into crust
- Prepare the Topping
- Beat the egg white until soft peaks form
- Add the sugar and cream of tartar.
- Add the sugar 1 tbsp at a time beating after each addition.
- Beat the egg white until very stiff.
- Put on top of the filling making sure that cover till the edge of the crust.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until the egg whites are light golden brown.
