Jeera Aloo
INGREDIENTS

  • 2 boiled potato (diced)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • a few curry leaves
  • a few coriander leaves
  • 1 green chili (diced)
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. In a pan, heat the oil.
  2. 2. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and let it crackle.
  3. 3. Add the green chili and the curry leaves until it sizzles.
  4. 4. Add the potatoes, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and cumin powder. Saute on high flame for a couple of minutes.
  5. 5. Lower the flame and let the potato absorb the spices for 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Garnish with the coriander leaves.
  7. 7. Serve hot.
