Italian Egg Rolls
  • 1/2 pound each hot and sweet sausage
  • 1-1/2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 med head of cabbage shredded
  • 3/4 cups of chopped red peppers
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 pound of diced fresh mozzarella cheese ( used reg. Mozz)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of favorite marinara sauce ( did not use)
  • 1 package of won ton wrappers
  1. Cook both sausage meats, add the garlic and saute briefly.
  2. Add the cabbage and sliced red peppers. Lower heat to medium and cook until the cabbage wilts. Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  4. Fill the egg roll as directed on the won ton wrapper and deep fry.
  5. I used Zesty Italian dressing on the bottom of the won ton before adding the mixture and I used the dressing as a dipping sauce as well.
Snappy and sharp with the great taste of the Italian meats. Be creative and play with both of this great basic recipes. You can really personalize both of them.
