Italian Egg Rolls
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 pound each hot and sweet sausage
- 1-1/2 cloves of garlic
- 1 med head of cabbage shredded
- 3/4 cups of chopped red peppers
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/3 pound of diced fresh mozzarella cheese ( used reg. Mozz)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of favorite marinara sauce ( did not use)
- 1 package of won ton wrappers
DIRECTIONS
- Cook both sausage meats, add the garlic and saute briefly.
- Add the cabbage and sliced red peppers. Lower heat to medium and cook until the cabbage wilts. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Allow to cool to room temperature.
- Fill the egg roll as directed on the won ton wrapper and deep fry.
- I used Zesty Italian dressing on the bottom of the won ton before adding the mixture and I used the dressing as a dipping sauce as well.
