Italian Beef
  • 3-4 pounds sirloin or rump roast
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 jar sweet cherry peppers with juice
  • Pinch of oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 3 cups water
  1. Place roast in roasting pan.
  2. Mix rest of ingredients together and pour over meat.
  3. Roast at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Remove from oven and let cool.
  4. Slice meat thin and return to roasting pan with juice. Cover tightly and continue cooking at 175-200 degrees for 3 more hours.
  5. Serve on French bread or hoagie buns.
  6. Note: You can use a crock pot to make this recipe.
