  • Preparation Time: 20 minutes
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chips
  1. Chop the onion, garlic, and tomato into tiny pieces and combine in a medium bowl. If there is uncertainty around the desired spice level, add most but not all of the avocado to start, setting 1/4 of it aside.
  2. Add the lime juice and spices to the bowl. Keep the cayenne pepper within 1/8 teaspoon for a mild guac, or add around 1/4 teaspoon for a hotter guac. If too strong, add back in any reserved avocado to counterbalance. Serve immediately.
A great snack that may disappear in the kitchen before it ever makes it to the table.
