Grilled Bananas & Pineapples with Butterscotch Sauce
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 6-8
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 pineapple, cut into 8 spears (rind removed)
  • 4 firm, but ripe bananas, peeled
DIRECTIONS
  1. Bring mixture to a boil, whisking regularly; remove from heat. Pour small amount of sauce on fruit and cook over a medium hot grill for 8 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove from grill. Place on a platter. Pour remaining sauce over fruit. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
