  • Servings: depends on who's eating
  • Preparation Time: 45
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • cream or canned milk
  1. Beat eggs; add rest of ingredients. Add enough cream or canned milk to form a soft dough that will roll easily. Roll thin. Cut in about 3"x5" squares. Cut 2 slits in each square. Put cut strip through cut slit. Fry in deep hot oil or fat (turn quickly so they won't get too brown.) Drain on paper towel; sprinkle with sugar.
