German Chocolate Sheet Cake
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 25
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- When cool frost:
- Melt: 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 6 Tbs. milk
- Add: 1 box confectioner's sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chooped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
- Sift 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt together.
- Melt together and mix the following, 2 sticks of butter, 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 1 cup of water.
- Add this to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Finally add to batter the following,
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup sour cream, 2 eggs slightly beaten.
- Spread evenly in greased jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until top springs back when lightly touched with a finger.
