INGREDIENTS
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup. evaporated milk
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS
  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar and milk; stir to blend well.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook for exactly 3 minutes, stirring down sides of pan frequently.
  4. Remove from heat and cool for 2 minutes.
  5. Beat powdered sugar into the candy until well blended; stir in vanilla and nuts.
  6. Pour into a buttered 9x13; refridgerate.
  7. Cut into squares when cool.
