Frosted Brownies
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 65 to 70
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 squares chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Karo syrup
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • FROSTING:
  • Melt:
  • 3 Tbs. Butter
  • Add:
  • 2/3 box powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Cocoa
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 Tbs. Milk (maybe need more
  • Beat until smooth.
  • FROSTING FOR DOUBLE BATCH:
  • 4-1/2 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbs. Cocoa
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 3 Tbs. Milk
DIRECTIONS
  1. Melt shortening, take off heat, and add chocolate. Beat eggs, add Sugar, chocolate mixture, and Karo. Add dry ingredients, vanilla, And nuts.
  2. Pour into greased 8x8" pan.
  3. Bake at 350 for 35-40
  4. Minutes.
  5. Frost when cool.
  6. I usually double the batch.
  7. Put in 11x15" pan and bake 30 minutes.
