Frosted Brownies
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 65 to 70
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 squares chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs. Karo syrup
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- FROSTING:
- Melt:
- 3 Tbs. Butter
- Add:
- 2/3 box powdered sugar
- 2 Tbs. Cocoa
- 1-1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 Tbs. Milk (maybe need more
- Beat until smooth.
- FROSTING FOR DOUBLE BATCH:
- 4-1/2 Tbs. Butter
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 3 Tbs. Cocoa
- 2 tsp. Vanilla
- 3 Tbs. Milk
DIRECTIONS
- Melt shortening, take off heat, and add chocolate. Beat eggs, add Sugar, chocolate mixture, and Karo. Add dry ingredients, vanilla, And nuts.
- Pour into greased 8x8" pan.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40
- Minutes.
- Frost when cool.
- I usually double the batch.
- Put in 11x15" pan and bake 30 minutes.
