French Breakfast Muffins

- 1 1/2 c. and 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
- Topping:
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
DIRECTIONS
- Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Spray muffin pan (or place liners) and fill half full withe mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Remove muffins from pan immediately.
- While muffins are baking, mix together sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until mixture is even. Dip muffin tops in butter, then sweet topping. Ready to eat!
