Double Chocolate Raspberry Cookies

  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp. Raspberry Extract
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1-10 oz package Dark Chocolate with Raspberry morsels
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream butter and sugars, add eggs and raspberry extract.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add flour mixture, mixing well. Fold in all morsels and nuts.
  5. Drop by heaping tsp. on un-greased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 375° degrees for 11-13 minutes.
  7. Do not over bake.
  8. Makes 3-1/2 dozen cookies.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I make cookies every Sunday for my husband and was experimenting with some raspberry morsels that I had found at the grocery store. I love raspberry anything. My neighbor tries out all my experiments and loved these. I have to admit that I have a hard time leaving these alone.
