Crustless Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS
- Filling:
- 6-7 apples (peeled, cored and sliced into 1/8's)
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup water
- Topping:
- 6 T butter
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1 Cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
DIRECTIONS
- Filling:
- In heavy saucepan mix together sugar and cinnamon, add water and apples.
- Stir to coat apples and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Bring to a boil; boil 10 minutes.
- Put cooked appole mixture into a greased 9 inch pie plate.
- Topping:
- Sift together flour and baking powder.
- Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually add flour/baking powder mix. Mix together well. (Mixture will be moist and crumbly.)
- Put topping over apples.
- Use all of the topping.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
- Note: The pie will run over when baking. Put foil under the pie plate.
