Creamy Cole Slaw
  • Servings: 6-8
  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 small chopped sweet onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (low fat)
  • 1 1/2 tbl sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp brown mustard
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  1. Combine mayo, sour cream, sugar, lemon juice, mustard, celery seed, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. In a large bowl combine cabbage, carrot and onion. Pour dressing over cabbage mix and toss until well coated. Chill for one hour. Serves 6-8.
My significant other loves cole slaw, but we haven't found the perfect prepared cole slaw in the grocery stores. So when we found an old food processor in the closet (at least 25 years old!), I thought I would try my hand at cole slaw. We are still perfecting this recipe -- we are getting close to perfect!
