Cranberry Cookies
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 Tbs milk
  • 1 Tbs lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and butter, beat well.
  4. Add milk, lemon juice, vanilla and egg; blend well.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into sugar mixture and mix well.
  6. Add cranberries and nuts.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
  8. Bake 375F for 8 - 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  9. Remove from sheets and let cool.
I found this recipe in one of those cookbooks that you find at the check out aisle in the grocery store. I haven't made these is a long time, but I've always loved them and am looking forward to whipping up a batch for the holidays.
