Corned beef and cabbage dinner
INGREDIENTS
- Servings: 8- 10
- 3 carrots, peeled and thickly sliced
- 3-lb. flat-cut corned beef brisket with seasoning packet
- 1 can of your favorite beer
- 1/2 to 1 head cabbage, cut into wedges
DIRECTIONS
- Arrange carrots in the bottom of a slow cooker; place corned beef on top.
- Sprinkle with one-quarter of seasoning packet contents; discard rest of seasoning.
- Pour beer over all.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on high setting for 5 to 6 hours.
- Add cabbage wedges, pushing down to moisten. Cover; cook on high setting for an additional 2 to 3 hours.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
