Cinnamon Toast Cake

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 TBSP. butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup raisins, if desired
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. Blend in milk, melted butter, vanilla and raisins, if desired.
  3. Spread in a 15x10x1-in. jelly roll pan, well greased and floured (lightly) on the bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over cake. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I found this recipe in an old Pillsbury Bake-Off recipe book. I tried it and liked it. I made mine in a Pampered Chef stoneware pan.
