Chicken Divan
INGREDIENTS
- 2 pkgs. frozen broccoli
- 4 whole chicken breasts, cooked and cut up
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- ¼ c. mayonnaise
- 1 t. lemon juice
- ½ c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 1 ½ to 2 c. seasoned breadcrumbs
DIRECTIONS
- Cook broccoli; drain and lay in bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
- Place chicken on top of broccoli.
- Prepare sauce with soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice and cheddar cheese.
- Pour sauce on top of chicken.
- Mix margarine and breadcrumbs and sprinkle over sauce.
- Cook 45 minutes at 350°.
- May be made the day before.
- My son does not like broccoli, so my friend, Lynn, puts cooked carrots in 1/2 of it when she has made it for us. It is a nice addition, and I usually eat some from both sides.
