Beef Broccoli Pie
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. garlic salt
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1-1/4 c. milk
  • 3 oz. soft cream cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1-10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli that has been cooked and drained
  • Pastry for 2 crust, 9 inch pie
  • 4 oz. monterey jack cheese
  1. Brown hamburg and onion in large skillet. Drain.
  2. Stir in flour, salt, and garlic salt. Add milk and softened cream cheese. Cook and stir
  3. untill mixture is smooth and bubbly. Add a moderated amount of the hot creamed mixture to the beaten egg. Return to skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened.
  4. Stir in cooked drained broccoli and set aside. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry. Spoon hot mixture into the pastry . Cut cheese into slices, and place on top. Cover with crust. Brush with
  5. milk. Bake @ 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
