Barb's Gingerbread Cake - original recipe

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups flour (used 1 to 1 gluten free flour)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat Oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Beat eggs, add brown sugar, molasses, sour cream ground ginger, baking soda and flour.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes or until crumbs show on tester

From the Wausau Cookbook of 1906, this recipe holds up well and can be made in small portions and baked in mini loaves. Would be great at a Christmas party!
