Aunt Lilly’s Jam Cake
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 30-35 minutes
  • 2-1/2 C flour
  • 2/3 C butter
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 1/4 C sour milk
  • 1 C jam
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
  1. Butter and flour a cake pan.
  2. Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and spices.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Beat well.
  6. Add jam.
  7. Fold flour into batter gradually, alternating with sour milk.
  8. Beat until smooth.
  9. Pour into cake pan.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
