Apricot Bars

- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 & 3/4 sticks butter, cut into pieces
- 1 jar apricot preserves, 10 to 12 ounces (raspberry is great too)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together all ingredients except preserves.
- Press one half of the mixture into a buttered 8" square pan.
- Spread with the jar of preserves.
- Sprinkle second half of mixture over the top and pat lightly.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until light brown.
- Let cool completely, then cut into squares.
