• 2 1/2 c flour
• 2 c sugar
• 1 1/2 t baking soda
• 1 1/2 t salt
• 1/4 t baking powder
• 2 eggs
• 3/4 t cinnamon
• 1/2 t cloves
• 1/2 t allspice
• 1 1/2 c applesauce
• 1/2 c water
• 1/2 c shortening
• 1/2 c chopped walnuts
• 1 c raisins

1. Combine all but last two ingredients.
2. Beat at low speed until well moistened, then at medium speed, about 2 minutes.
3. Add nuts and raisins.
4. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan, and bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes

A family favorite! It goes great with cream cheese frosting.
