coffee marinade

Why I Love This Recipe
For a while I got on a kick of trying to incorporate Kona coffee into savory dishes - this was my attempt at a coffee marinade
Ingredients You'll Need
1 qt regular brewed Kona coffee
1/2 c bottled water
1T cumin seeds, toasted
4T roasted garlic
3 bay leaves
2T worcestershire sauce
1 t crushed red pepper
1/4 c canola oil
1 small red onion sliced
Directions
Bring coffee to a boil
In a saucepan, heat oil, add onion, garlic, bay leaves, and cumin.
Saute until onion is softened
Add worcestershire sauce and red pepper
Add water and reduce by half
Add coffee to mixture, stir well to incorporate, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Cool and strain, using as needed
