Shoo-Fly Pie

Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup Karo light syrup
1 cup warm water
1 tsp baking soda
3 scant cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 to 1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 unbaked pie shell
Directions
** There is enough for two pies.
Mix well the first three ingredients. Put into an unbaked pie shell.
Mix with fingers the next four ingredients. Sprinkle over the top of the liquid in the pie shell and bake at 400° for 10 minutes; reduce to 350° and bake for additional 25 minutes.
