Sam's Harvest Pizza Recipe
Why I Love This Recipe
Healthy homemade sauce/pizza. Side note- I like to make extra sauce to use for the week. You can use it as a pasta sauce and add a little heavy cream when cooking.
Ingredients You'll Need
I peel and dice the butternut, drizzle with olive oil, add a little sat, spread on pan. Add garlic cloves, fresh rosemary, and fresh thyme or sage. Roast in the oven on 350 degrees until butternut is soft. Cool and add to food processor. Blend until it is the consistency of desired pizza sauce.
Chop up maple bacon and sauté, add sliced onions the last few minutes until caramelized. Drain
Chop up kale, prep or shred a sharp white cheese and put to the side. I like to shred a block of extra sharp Vermont white cheese, but feta works great too.
I like to use naan as my bread, but you can use whatever you like. Add butternut sauce, top with the bacon pieces, onions, and kale. Add the cheese last.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes for desired crispiness. Let cool.
