Why I Love This Recipe

Homemade tacos which you can serve with the toppings of your choice.


Ingredients You'll Need

4 Cups Flour
1 ½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 T. Sugar
2 T. Shortening
1 Egg
1 pkg Yeast
¼ Cup Warm Water
1 ¼ Cups Warm Milk
1 lb. Ground Beef


Directions

Mix together 1 ½ cups flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and dry yeast.

Combine water, milk and shortening.

Add this to the dry mixture and beat with mixer.

Add egg, beat well.

Stir in rest of the flour 1 cup at a time until stiff. Knead dough. Let rest 20 to 30 minutes.

Brown hamburger and drain.

Add chili beans and simmer.

Pat or roll dough into circles approximately 5 inches in diameter.

Fry in at least 1 inch of hot oil. Turn and brown other side.

Drain on paper towels. Top with meat mixture and other toppings.
