Potato Corn Camp Chowder

This easy meal is a family go-to whenever we go camping. It is the only meal I cook that includes creamed corn.

Ingredients You'll Need
potatoes - 1 per person served
canned or frozen corn niblets
canned cream corm
milk or cream - 1 two 2 cups
onions
bacon or ham (optional)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
Cut potatoes into bite-sized pieces, peeling is optional. Dice onions and bacon or ham.
In a large saucepan heat oil and add diced onions, bacon and ham
saute until onions are soft. Add potatoes, saute for a couple of minutes.
Add water until the potatoes are just covered.
Heat on high until boiling then lower and simmer until potatoes are almost done.
Add canned corn and canned cream corn.
Add milk, adjust the amount to suit taste.
Add salt to taste.
Add pepper to taste. Usually, a liberal amount is needed as there are no other spices in the recipe.
