Papaya Peach Haupia

Why I Love This Recipe
Hawaiian
This is a slight variation to the well known haupia
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup honey
8 tablespoons arrowroot
2 cups blended and slightly cooked papaya
2 cups peach pulp
Directions
Wash and lightly peel peaches. Cut in slices and cook in a little water until soft. Mash and strain, set aside. Place cooked papaya in a blender and blend until smooth. Place papaya in a large saucepan, and cook with a little lemon juice for a few minutes. Mix arrowroot with enough fruit juice to make a smooth paste. Combine papaya and peach pulp. Mix well, stir in honey and bring to a boil. Gradually add the arrowroot paste and keep stirring for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Pour quiokly into greased cake pan. Let cool, refrigerate until set. Cut into squares and serve.
