"Out of loaf bread: Here is the answer and so good!"

Serves 4-6 | Prep Time 5 min | Cook Time 2-3 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

My mother and grandmother use to serve this with breakfast and is very southern.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/2 C self rising flour
1 stick salted butter (opt. you can leave the butter out)
3/4 C milk or even water can be used instead of milk

Heat a iron skillet with Crisco or bacon drippings, heat until hot and turn down to med. heat. Cut flour and butter together, add milk mix gently . The batter should be thick but pour-able, drop in skillet the size you would like, I usually make them the size of biscuit cutter or a little larger, or you can make them all silver dollar size. Brown on each side until golden. I usually don't turn until I see bubbles, then flip them. Serve with hot butter.
