How to make healthy homemade popsicles

Did you know that you can make tasty and healthy homemade popsicles? I'm Alice, and I'm an essay writer and a blogger. I want to share my favorite popsicle receipts and show you how to do it quickly, tasty, and healthy.

All you need is such as fresh fruits and the proper forms to prepare them. The ones we propose are made of silicone, which makes unmolding the popsicles much easier. Choose those you can fill horizontally and stacked in the freezer to take up little space and do not acquire odors. Do you want to prepare healthy homemade popsicles? Follow these steps!

1. Choose healthy ingredients

Fruit is one of the most common ingredients in healthy homemade popsicles, but there are many more options, and you can combine them! Here are some of them:

Vegetable drink with no added sugars

Vegetable yogurt

Whipped cheese

Nuts: hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios, cashews, almonds...

Shredded coconut

Aromatic leaves: mint, peppermint...

Dark chocolate 85

If you need to sweeten your homemade popsicles, choose the sweetest ingredients. Remember that ripe fruit already adds sweetness to the recipe.

2. Try different combinations!

These are some of the combinations that are always a hit:

Banana and coconut

1 ripe banana

Zest and juice of 1 orange

100 ml of coconut drink

Pineapple and mint

200 g pineapple

200 g orange juice

20 mint leaves

Kiwi with chocolate coating

Two ripe kiwis

200 g dark chocolate for melting

1 teaspoon coconut oil

For the topping, melt the chocolate with coconut oil in the microwave. Once you have the popsicle ready and frozen, dip some of it in melted chocolate. The chocolate coating will harden quickly in contact with the cold popsicle.

Avocado and pistachios

1 large ripe avocado

30 ml water

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

10 g peeled pistachios

Stevia (optional)

250 ml of vegetable oat drink

2 tablespoons of soluble coffee

To give an extra touch of creaminess to homemade popsicles, you can add yogurt or whipped cheese.

Cheese, strawberry, and banana

100 ml of mascarpone

6 ripe strawberries

1 ripe banana

Mango and yogurt

100 g mango

350 g natural yogurt

3. Choose the shape you want to give to your homemade popsicles.

There are many types of forms in a wide variety of shapes. When choosing yours, we recommend that they be made of silicone, as they are easier to unmold. Also, make sure they have a lid so that they do not acquire odors in the freezer.

You can also choose forms with fruit shapes, such as pineapple, watermelon, or strawberry. Or with very tempting candy shapes, such as donuts or pretzels.

Don't limit yourself to a single recipe and a single mold. Have fun choosing different molds, and enjoy your homemade popsicles with fun shapes at any time.

4. Get down to work: prepare your homemade popsicles

To make your homemade popsicles, follow these simple steps:

Wash and peel the fruits you are going to choose, if applicable.

Smash the ingredients of the recipe and mix them well.

Fill the cups with the mass to the last line of each form, cover, and freeze them for at least 4 hours.

Unmold the popsicles and enjoy!

A tip: if you want your homemade popsicles to have fruit pieces or other ingredients, such as nuts, save a small portion of the recipe amount to add the pieces to the mold before freezing.

And an extra trick! Adding a little lemon or orange juice will keep the fruit from oxidizing and retain its color.

Refresh yourself and enjoy the summer with these healthy homemade popsicles.
