Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

7-8 sweet potatoes
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c white sugar
2 tbs honey
1 tsp vanilla extra
10 tbs butter
1 tbs syrup
1/4 c sweet condensed milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Bag of large marshmallows


1. Wash and peel sweet potatoes and place a large pot of water on stove to boil

2. Place peeled potatoes in boiling water for 15-20 minutes

3. While potatoes are boiling, in a sauce pan melt butter, sugar, honey, vanilla extract, syrup, condensed milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg (all the ingredients except marshmallows and sweet potatoes)

4. Simmer mixture on low heat until all ingredients are combined

5. Drain potatoes

6. Once potatoes have slightly cooled, slice them into circles and layer them in a 9x13 foil pan

7. Once all potatoes are sliced and placed in pan, pour the mixture over the potatoes (optional: sprinkle with additional cinnamon and brown sugar)

8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

9. Cook potatoes with foil on for 35 minutes, after 35 minutes remove pan from oven and remove foil

10. Place marshmallows on top of sweet potatoes and cook for 5-10 more minutes without the foil

11. Remove from oven and enjoy!
