Mexican Cookies
Ingredients You'll Need
4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 egg
1 lb lard
1 stick of cinnamon boiled in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes (cinnamon 'tea')
Directions
* In bowl, include flour, sugar, baking powder and ground cinnamon
* Mix well, then add lard and egg; mix again until it comes to a dough
* If dough does not stay together, add the cinnamon tea a little at a time until it forms a dough
* Spread out with rolling pin and roll out
* Cut to desired shapes
* Place in 250° oven and bake until lightly browned
* Remove and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon/sugar
