Hearty Black-Eyed Pea Soup

Ingredients You'll Need
1 lb. pork sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
4 cups of water
3 cans (15 oz) black-eyed peas, rinsed & drained
1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes & green chilies, undrained
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
4 beef bouillon cubes
4 tsp. molasses
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
Directions
In a Dutch oven or soup kettle, cook sausage, beef & onion until meat is no longer pink, drain. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover & simmer for 45 minutes.
Yield: 12-16 servings.
