Rosalie (Short) Sailstad fondly remembers her Grandma Rose Anderson DeWitt making this recipe and it was passed along to her mother Helen DeWitt Short. Enjoy a sweet treat from the Swedish side of the family.

Ingredients You'll Need
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 or 2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cloves
Flour to bind
Walnuts and Rasins
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine ingredients.
Drop by spoon fulls onto baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until done.
