Fruit Cocktail Cake II

Why I Love This Recipe
Another version of the fruit cocktail cake. Easy and tasty, and no frosting needed.
Ingredients You'll Need
Cake
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 can fruit cocktail, 16 oz.
Topping
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease 9 X 13 inch cake pan.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
Pour into prepared pan.
Make topping by mixing the nuts and brown sugar together. Sprinkle on top of the cake before baking.
Bake for 40 or 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
